Sadly missed that one. I played the original on my dad's Amiga 500 (yes I am old), then played Prophecy on a PC when I got the chance. Still have my copy of Prophecy and the secret ops expansion. Loved that and the original Wing Commander, but missed WC 2-4. I think I played like five mins of Privateer.

Played and finished the first 3 (thanks cheat codes cos I can't shoot for shit until your post never even knew the was a 4th one.

Ditto, plus prophecy and Armada, but 1/2 were in a joint box I think
(Also had the Amiga version of WC1)

Didn't get the Kilrathi Saga version though

^^^ I had a 7mhz chip that piggy backed ontop of the Amiga main cpu, that you could switch to double its speed to 14mhz, and i remember how well WC1/2 ran at that speed, it also gave a real nice boost to other games like Wings, Carrier command, Mercenary and the likes.

Now that's a series that could use a reboot. Sadly, I think flight combat games are much more of a niche than they used to be.

I'd forgotten the Academy game too - but I didn't have that in the big box format, only the disk which came with some hardware or other. Back at the time, I think I got most of the Flight Combat games from that studio (Strike Commander, Pacific Strike, Wings of Glory etc) - along with several from other studios - the obvious being the X-wing series.
