Here's a bit that was news to me

Rick Moranis? Sigourney Weaver? Awesome. Last I heard they weren't interested.

Bill Murray as a ghost? Or not?

Two decades on, this might actually happen. I'm excited. :)

You know, the Ghostbusters 3 idea of the old guard and new guard is so old that Aykroyd had the idea of Chris Farley, Will Smith and maybe Ben Stiller as the new ghostbusters.

The lack of news regarding Ernie Hudson is disturbing.

    Plus-Reitman directed GB 1. Minus-Reitman directed GB 2.

It's a wash, so I'm waiting and seeing.

Don't worry friend, he'll be there. I think the core four wouldn't do it without each other. :techman:

If he's asked, and he should be, I can't think of why he'd turn it down. Not like his schedule is packed.

The man was a joy to see at AdventureCon in Knoxville last year. He put on the GB jumpsuit, posed for pics by a mock-up Ecto-1 and signed for some 5hrs straight. Stand up guy who seemed to relish his GB affliation.

Surely, he'll be there. He has to be. They asked Moranis for gods sake they have to ask Ernie. Unless someone shows where and why he turns it down I'm planning on him being in the mix.

I'm very concerned in regards to Ramis' weight. He looks like a mini version of Orson Wells. Plus Ramis...he's kind of sucked these past few years.

Dan has gotten big as well.

What's your source on this? The last I heard Weaver was out of the project and Moranis wasn't going to come out of retirement (and good riddance).

The last I heard, one of Bill Murray's conditions for returning was that Hudson got equal footing with the other three. Assuming this is true, if Murray is back, so is Hudson.

I heard about that! How many actors of other franchises have ever dressed up in character for fans? Not many. Really cool gesture on his part.

This would be pretty awesome, if true.

I think it would be odd to leave Hudson out, he came back for the ghostbusters game afterall.

Two things worry me about this movie, number one is that after all this time I don't care what news you tell me I wil believe it when I see it. The second and not to sound insulting but Dan has clearly had a comfortable few years, believing him as a ghostbuster now might be a bit too much.

I'm definitely excited at the news... I just wish this was happening 10 years ago. The original actors are so old, fat and gray now they won't be able to do much without looking ridiculous, and yet I'm not all that interested in watching NEW actors running around chasing ghosts either.

I gotta agree with this. At least with recent returning franchises like 'Die Hard' and 'Indiana Jones', you've got actors that are still reasonably in shape for their roles. But these guys were never action stars... they're comedians, and even back in the day what little physicality these roles required seemed a just little ridiculous.

If the movie is to be recast I would hope that the producers would avoid putting in any of "The frat-pack".
God almighty,Stiller,Ferell &co are about as funny as cancer IMO.

WTF as if old fat dudes running around chasing ghosts isn't a recipe for comedy gold.

You're confusing this with Ghostbusters: The Video Game (in which both Weaver and Moranis declined to participate).

I'm going to fucking ban you.
