Reinterpretation of Star Wars IV

Anyone else bothered by the misspelling of Tatooine? Or Qui-Gon Jinn?

No?

*mumbles about years spent on Star Wars message boards*

Actually, the article is very good up until its notions that Chewie is a secret spy and the Falcon has always been a secret Rebellion ship. After that, it gets a bit ... silly.

Well, it reduces Han Solo's importance enormously in favor of special effects critters and costumes like Chewie and the ashcan droid. Since I like Solo and like Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back immensely and think the "prequels" are useless drivel, I can't get into this version of events at all.

It's a joke.

^ I think he realizes that; personally, I think it's a STUPID joke, especially since the premise of the article (reinterpreting the OT based on the PT) is actually worthy of more than just 'jokey' lampooning.

Even if it is a joke, it presents a core from which one could base a serious expansion.

I remember from a "making of star wars" show, that the hospital orderly who was inside Chewbacca's hairy suit was speaking dialog. Love to get a hold of a cut with that intact, compare that to the superspy theory.

It's the Death Star scene, when Kenobi goes to disable the tractor beam. Peter Mayhew say's he's mad'(or words to those effect) Han agrees.

He says "the old man is" and it's either Mad or Daft, at this hour I'm not sure which.
