Regarding Captain Dax

Serin117

Commander
Red Shirt
Heya, peeps!

So, for the past 3 or 4 years I've been helping run Star Trek Sh*tposting on facebook, and recently we created some content to celebrate our 100,000'th member.
That content included a cameo from Nicole de Boer wherein we asked her thoughts as to her lack of Captaincy of the Aventine in the shows. Mostly because its one of the many novelverse memes I throw around, but also because its hilarious.

So, allow me to present,
The cameo.

And what we turned that cameo(which was one of many) into.

I hope they canonize Captain Dax and the Vesta-class USS Aventine, too. Although it's unlikely for de Boer to appear because she's in Canada, IIRC.

Gotta admit, my want for that to happen after Titan showed up on Lower Decks did reawaken.
Ahh... Its nice to dream.

I'm sure she'd be willing to make the trip down for a couple of weeks to shoot an episode or two -- major studios like Paramount always spring for first-class airfare and other perks for significant cast-members (she's a former franchise TV series-lead), etc.

And I'd think she'd jump at the chance to play Ezri as a Captain anyway. That's gotta be a dream come true for Trek actors! (for instance I'm sure Terry Farrell relished the opportunity for Jadzia to take command of the Defiant)

Surely she can record an appearance for Lower Decks or Prodigy or an animated Short Trek from our northern land...?

Plus there’s always doing like Frakes in the Picard Season 1 finale - he was directing Discovery, so they redressed the set, filmed his side of the scene, ta da. Captaining the Aventine might not give her time to talk in person to anyone, but she could always pop in over comm channels.

Most of them do, but Picard films in LA. Remember how Raffi Musiker's house was next to Vasquez Rocks?

Great.
That's given me an idea for a meme based on those rocks in canon just being 'some rocks' and definitely not 'those rocks.'

Usually they are, but in Picard, they were explicitly identified in a screen caption as Vasquez Rocks. Which made it odd that Raffi's house was there, since it's a public park. But then, so are the Presidio and the Marin Headlands, and Starfleet Headquarters and the Academy are sprawled all over those.

More the old 'hey, Raffi. didn't Kirk fight a Gorn near those?' kinda thing.
"You've completely lost your marbles, JL"
Or something longform and bald-faced about Raffi having the entire natural park moved there from Cestus III despite it appearing that she lives in relative poverty.

I'm 100% sure that she would jump at the chance to play Dax again. I'm guessing that everyone but Brent Spiner would return to play their roles again at this point. Time and money heal all wounds.
