Refit starship designs: caught something interesting

It's been a while since I last ventured into this forum (where's Vektor's Grandeur design when you need it?), but a whole host of ship designs caught my eyes this past week:

In particular, the "Heavy Refit" (I can't make out the extra hull reinforcement) for the Galaxy design caught my eyes (although honourable mentions go to the Sovereign refit and the "Tahoe"). I was wondering if anybody was willing to take the starship designs and "flesh them out," perhaps for picture collection purposes.

I'm not a fan. The modifications seem chunky and akward and the new designs are just as much so. Sleekness and grace are the de facto Starfleet aesthetic, not its antithesis.

A Galaxy-class variant as a scout? Weird choice of words in that article.

I don't think we could have expected much more from a video game, but still...ugh. If any talented artist here is inspired to put a spin on any of those that makes them palatable, that would be really cool.

And it looks like the Sovereign refit takes some design cues from Vector's Grandeur. I mean, look at that main hull!
