Refences and Allusions

I thought for sure someone else would have started this thread, but I don't see it, so I will take a whack. First, I thought it was great that the new actors play the characters without imitating the previous actors. Pine and Shatner are unique portrayals of the same character, and it really worked for me. Second, I lost count of the references and allusions to other Star Trek works. I thought I'd start a list and encourage others to pile on. And I am pulling these from memory, so I won't be offended if you fact-check and correct me.

1. At cadet Kirk's hearing, Spock stands and straightens his tunic, just a Spock did in the death scene in Wrath of Khan.

2. Spock tells Kirk, "I have been and always shall be your friend." Lifted straight from the previous movies.

3. I'm sure there's another movie where someone says, "I'm aware of my responsibilities, Mister". Was it Savak or somone speaking to Savak?

3. The Spock-Uhura relationship in XI echoes the hints we saw in TOS.

4. Pike in a wheelchair alludes to his appearance in TOS, and I thought his uniform looked a little TMP.

5. Nice touch to show how "Bones" McCoy received his nickname.

6. Other posts have discussed Admiral Archer and his beagle from "Enterprise", which Scott has lost in a transporter experiment.

I know there are more. Help me out.

There was the bug Nero put in Pike. Clearly a throwback to the Ceti eels.

Those "learning chambers" on Vulcan bore a striking resemblance to the one Spock used in TVH.

I'm sure there are others I'm missing right now.
