Now, I know Red Sonja is hardly Shakespeare, but I was looking forward to a remake of this film.

It's not really a remake, it's a new adaptation of the comic.

This movie is going to look daft if it comes down with a case of Joss Whedon Syndrome.

The only potentially viable actress I can think of who's the right height and age is Kristanna Loken. She's 5'11", and has experience with action/fantasy roles, but she's not exactly the greatest actress out there either.

They must not have known that action movies don't require acting.

Considering that Bloodrayne 1 was pretty entertaining, and Loken was decent in it, and the second film with some other chick as Rayne was terrible, her coming back for a third isnt the worse thing ever.
