DT is hosting Red Nose day tonight on Beeb 1. Also there's a S-J special with Ronnie Corbett as an alien!

Certainly makes a welcome change from Terry bleedin' Wogan.

Yes I know, but hosts just about everything else. Him or Wossie (who is hosting later on).

Oh great, I was going to the boozer tonight but I'll stay in and avoid the charity scabs.

Incidentally has anyone ever been to one of the Comic Relief BBC regional OB spots in their area? (complete with the obligatory madman in a bath of baked beans or something)

okay, for us yanks, what's Red Nose Day?

It is...

Red Nose Day is the main way in which Comic Relief raises money. It is held in the spring every second year and is often treated as a semi-holiday, with, for example, schools having non-uniform days. The day culminates in a live telethon event on BBC One starting in the evening and going through into the early hours of the morning, but other money-raising events take place. As the name suggests, the day involves the wearing of plastic/foam red noses which are available, in exchange for a donation, from many shops.

I haven't really got any of these things this year. Usually I'd do my bit, bit for some reason it's not to be this year.

I have my red nose for the car. Looks splendid! It's years since they've had car noses, so I'm glad they brought them back.

Here's a pic of Tennant on the cover of the Radio Times.

My goodness, he's adorable! :adore: :D Sounds like a worthy cause--cool that DT is hosting.

Ye gods - I was watching Randall & Hopkirk's "The Ghost Talks" immediately before this, and - never mind the white suit - Tennant's expressions at the end of the Mastermind segment were so Ken Cope it was unbelievable. Tennant needs to revive Randall & Hopkirk, as Marty, RIGHT NOW.

Though I dunno who'd be Jeff Randall... I'm tempted to say John Simm, but actually I think his Life On Mars mate Philip Glenister is more Randall-ish.

And speaking of Glenister - he played the Brosnan role in the French and Saunders "Mama Mia" spoof tonight. He didn't do much, but he was fecking hilarious as Singing Brosnan. "Berr berr berrrr....Berr berr berr berr berrrrrr..."

:D

Painfully crap television. Said I'd give them £5 to shut the fuck up. Wife authorised transaction. So gave £5, watched something else. Want £5 back.
