Recommend Me a HDD

Hi all, thanks for all the help on my last computer question, now I've got one more! :D

I'm looking into getting another HDD for the computer I just bought because I am going to be doing some video editing and I heard it works best to have another HDD for that.

Any suggestions? I was thinking between 500gig to 1Tb. The video being edited is HD though, so do you think I would need more than 1Tb?

Thanks for everything everyone! :)

If you're doing video editing, you may actually want to think beyond 1TB or get multiple drives... good practice for backup anyway. Over the last couple years I bought four Samsung HD501LJ 500gb drives, all still working great but a little old now. More recently I bought two Samsung HD154UI 1.5TB. In years past I was loyal to WD in spite of a few failures but I moved to Samsung drives after being more concerned with noise. Both models I mentioned are dead quiet. If that's a priority for you, I would consider Samsung's offerings. WD makes good drives too, though.

going by personal experience, everyu time i get a harddrive, i think its enough only to run out of room within months. My suggestion is to get more than you think you need, especially if you're doing video editing. As of right now I have over 4 TBs of total hard drive space and I still find myself juggling data to try and make room

Dang, I would never have thought so much memory would be needed. Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to check out the Western Digitals and the Samsungs that Axiom and Mr. B recommended.

The more memory the merrier eh? :)
