Wow, if this had been on any other network besides NBC -- especially if it had been on HBO or in retrospect, AMC -- this could've been a hit that would still be playing today.

Glossy production values, great acting (especially Ian McShane and the guy who plays the Prince), and some visual and story originality on TV. Rare to find.

What a shame!

This was an absolutely brilliant show that didn't belong on network TV. Could have been one of the best shows of all time on HBO.

What a shame that David, the star, was the weak link acting wise. I saw the first episode and knew the show would be canceled. Both because it was overly ambitious, and because David just couldn't carry a scene and had no chemistry with anyone.

I was gutted that the show ended so early.

The thing was Whedoned. It might as well have been on Fox.

They just didn't know what they had, or how to promote it.

Yeah I got the same impression - the lead actor would sink the show. However, I think it would have been sunk anyway. Too strange, too subtle and too complicated for network TV.

Egan wasn't THAT bad, especially considering he was acting alongside Ian McShane. But he did lack some touch to him that would show there was at least potential in this boy to be a King.
