Real-life medical tricorder

There are so many devices coming long that imitate a bit of Trek tech, but I wish some of them would be in Trek style, as well.

Yeah, the Siemens Acuson doesn't look enough like a TNG Tricorder?

I've always wanted one of those Mark I Tricorders they used to sell, but now there's a device that "looks like a phaser, but acts like a tricorder" which uses x-ray fluoroscopy...

Edited to turn them into links :p

Chris_Johnston, if you don't own the website, download the images and upload them to an image hosting site before posting them if you want to use the image tags (otherwise, just leave them as links). :)

Okay, here's the Niton XRF metal analyzer that Chris Johnston was pointing out. It does rise to a pretty fair level of Trek style. But there are so many things in gadgets, architecture, etc. these days that come close and I'd like to see go the rest of the way, even it they have to pay a license fee. Or maybe CBS Paramount Television might consider granting free licenses to manufacturers if they like their products. Maybe iPod Trek Edition, etc.

Excuse my fanwanking, if you can.
