Re-Discovering the Joy of Trek Gaming!

Well it's been so many years since I played a Star Trek Game last......[I did play that horrid Star Trek Conquest and that other really bad game that came out for PS2 so those don't count]

I got Star Trek Armada this week, and just installed it earlier tonight....

Forgot how COOL Star Trek Armada is even for being an old game.

I quickly lost at least an hour playing a single mission....the first borg mission just building my forces up.

I think I'll start up playing old Trek Games again....Pulled out my old Disks I've got:

Star Trek Away Team
Star Trek Borg
Star Trek Hidden Evil [I think this game was always buggy after the first mission]
Star Trek Deep Space Nine The Fallen

I think I have a downloaded iso copy of Star Trek Armada Somewhere.

Unsure as to where my Star Fleet Command Game got too..........

But man I think I'll have to install the other Trek Games I got.

As well as some other cool games like Homeworld,Total Annihilation,Mechwarrior, and Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun.

I've spent so much time on the internet on forums I forgot about all the great games I have that have gone unplayed for years.

My Machine can't play newer games but it's perfect for old games!

Sounds fun!
I wish I could do the same. I mean, I have all those games, too, but I have a 16:9 widescreen monitor, and most of those games will not upscale well at all.

I got a new Monitor as well so at least this is a Pentium IV.

So I mean I probably can play games at least up to Star Trek Elite Force and Star Fleet Command II maybe III.

But I don't have those....

Elite Force was fun, but Elite Force II was way more fun, at least to me, and nothing, nothing, nothing beats Klingon Academy. :D
I have every Star Trek PC game ever published (except D-A-C) and love them as my children. :D

Well I just installed Star Trek New Worlds....I EASILY Could spend a day playing it and not notice the time going by.

I think this is a good idea mixing Star Trek Gaming with my Star Trek Marathon....

Picked up today that I'll soon be enjoying:

Starfleet Command
Starfleet Command Neutral Zone Expansion

Armada was good fun. I only played it through once. Unfortunately it has some kind of terrible sound glitch on my newer, but now old, PC, and I can't replay it.

Hidden Evil I had no bugs with, and really enjoyed the graphics approach with the constantly changing angles. It's a nice adventure game, underrated IMO. Though I'd have been annoyed if I'd payed full price for it on release.

Starfleet Command was a LOT of fun! In fact, to some small degree, STO seems to be based on it in space combat.

Still with these games and the DVDs I'm enjoying I think I might actually stay off the net for a while spending a week or so gaming!

Been so long since I played PC games......
