RCM Lauches USS Voyager

Last year the RCM did a coin featuring all 5 TV Captain’ (Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk was not on the coin, but Shatner’s Kirk was), so this is the second Voyager related coin.

In the same time, it's quite logical: Chris Pine reprised the Capt Kirk's role on big screen only so, his face did not have to appear on the coin.

As for William Shatner, he should be included for twice reasons : first,as a TV & movie Captain and second, as Canadian citizen (he is born in Montreal if I remember well). :-)

Aside from Shatner and Bujold from Voyager, can you think of any Canadian connections for the other series?

Sorry no. On the other hand, I know that 1) DS9 included 2 Commonwealth* actors (Colm Meaney, the Irishman and Alexander Siddig, the English Soudanese). 2) that quite many English actors to perform aliens were hired on others ST shows -> Robert Beltran ‎had also made the remark that a lot of actors playing aliens had an English accent, what amused him a lot, ‎at a convention.
For my part, I love English accent! :-)

* like William Shatner, the (French) Canadian - he is born in Montreal, which is the largest city in the Province of Quebec, predominantly French) - but speaks French like a Spanish cow! ;-)
