Razzies: Worst list ever?

Of those I have only seen Speed Racer (I liked it for eye candy) Rambo (I would never watch it again because it was very hard to watch, but I can see what he was trying to do. Not a bad film, just not something I want to see again) and The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008). I refuse to just call it "The Day The Earth Stood Still" without the "2008" modifier because it should never be confused with the Robert Wise film.

The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008) is the worst film I saw this year.

Al Pacino and Jon Avnet are both on there partly for Righteous Kill, party for 88 Minutes.

How is 88 Minutes not up there for worst picture? I mean, that movie is bad in such extreme ways that it almost can't be unintentional (kinda like Ishtar in that respect).

And I don't get why they're ragging on Tom Cruise for Valkyrie. I thought he was pretty good in it. (Hell, I've never seen Cruise give a bad performance, although Eyes Wide Shut looked pretty bad in general.)

I agree. Valkyrie was good and Cruise was good in it. It's just cool to shit on him right now, which makes the awards process seem even shallower than it actually is in concept.

Agreed. It's just like 5-6 years ago when it was chic to shite on Ben Affleck. (Affleck is another one who I've never seen give a crappy performance, although I'll concede that his range is somewhat limited. But Daredevil is one of my all-time favorite movies and I will defend it with my last breath.)

Affleck was da BOMB in Phantoms!

Very unoriginal. Who thought "The Hottie and the Nottie" would be good? No one. Nominate something controversial or something. Very lame.
