Rare Photos: April 2011

I know, I know! It's April 2nd! How dare I delay you all your satisfaction!

Anywhom, yesterday being April Fools, I just decided best to wait a day than risk the temptation of screwing with you all. :p

Here be this months offering of goodies!

http://www.trekcore.com/specials/thumbnails.php?album=97

My Favorites:
2nd Row, Center: The Enterprise-D Bridge, trashed and ruined, at the end of Generations. :(

3rd Row, Right: Rejected publicity photo from season 1 of Kes and Neelix. Why they ever paired her up with him...

5th Row, Center: Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes behind the scenes of First Contact.

6th Row, Center: Vorta hate Ferengi. :)

Which Ones Are Your Favorites?

I like-:
Row 4, left of Riker without the beard from Insurrection
Row 5, left of Karl Urban and John Cho

4th one down, right: smooth-faced Riker. Didn't recognize him until I looked at the full picture.
2nd row, left. I like seeing how apparently they have to have the conn/ops person lean over for the camera.

I love in all "behind the scenes" photos of Frakes, he has this HUGE grin as if he's just having the best time of his life, no matter what he's doing. It's almost infectious!

My faves are the Spock publicity shot from around WNMHGB's time (judging from the shirt and the eyebrows!), the one with Shatner and Nimoy laughing, and Kirstie Alley as Saavik. No surprises there. :rommie:

Loving the early Spock, Keenser and Wil Wheaton as Wes photos. Thanks, Frontier, for another batch of goodies!

^ I believe they are just without shirts.

And any picture with Karl Urban (or DeForest Kelly) is a winner. Awesome.

Why do Shatner and Nimoy have their clothes off?
The episode "Patterns of Force": the Star Trek Nazi episode (and not the Space Nazi one). Kirk and Spock were captured by the Nazis and beaten with a whip before being thrown into the same jail cell. (They then proceed to bust their way out with their subdermal transponders and a piece of metal from the cot.)

Somebody, stop the presses! Alert the Pentagon! I've actually showed WillsBabe a Riker pic she's not seen before! :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

:guffaw: See, now you're just making me want to go and check all my old magazines to see if I have seen it before but just forgotten about it.... :)

I love the naked spok and kirk. Gives me the impression that that would have been a fun set to be on.

Brilliant pictures as usual.....i always enjoy these and I'm always amazed there is still unseen stuff to see.

Thanks.

You and me both.

I began doing these because I had amassed a collection of maybe 3-400 images that I'd not seen out on the web, or rarely ever saw, and only a while did I begin hunting. I presumed after a few months, I'd run out, and then... well, we're 1,250+ images later!!

Truth is, I've barely scratched the surface. The archives of the applicable studios are filled with a thousand times the material I've been able to acquire.

Wow, that is certainly good to know. Frankly, I'm amazed at the number of photos available on TrekCore and I was actually wondering where it all comes from and especially how much more there is. I'm glad we don't have to worry about running out of new Trek pictures to look at.

My April favorites are the shirtless Kirk and Spock, the William Shatner close-up, Jonathan Frakes and the TWOK bridge scene.
