Rankin & Bass style Star Trek? Or LEGO style ST?

What if a new ST series were made using Rankin/Bass style puppetry? Like in those R/B Christmas & Easter specials from the 1960's & 1970's.

Tim Burton's “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993) was made in the R/B style.

R/B style ST would be in between a cartoon & conventional live-action.

What about LEGO style animated ST for a future series? Like in those SW console LEGO videogames?

Either Rankin & Bass style puppetry or LEGO-style animation would definitely be something new & different for ST.

Of the 2 my choice is R/B puppetry.

What are YOUR opinions of this?

Tim Burton's “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993) was made in the R/B style.

Rankin-Bass wasn't the only company to use that technique. It's called stop-motion animation. Excellent examples of the art have been made by many companies over the years; I'd recommend looking at Will Vinton Studios as an example.

Stop-motion Star Trek would be...interesting.

I think a "LEGO Star Trek" would make for a tremendously fun video game. People love to see their favorite characters in the expressive LEGO mini figure style.

Of course, it would probably gross $9.99 in box office reciepts.
