So, The Power of the Daleks has been released/re-released/returned, in one form or the other, via animation, and the fandom's better for it. But how does it, as the introductory story for this new Doctor fare against the other, more well-known stories (due to having survived the BBC wiping of the 60' and early 70's that, sadly, Power didn't). How does it compare?

Time and the Rani, despite what some persistent fellows might say, really is a post-regeneration story most of all, and is counted as such. Enemy Within, the TV Movie, counts as the unique case of being both a regeneration and a post-regeneration story at the same time, and the Ninth Doctor's entry isn't here, cause... we didn't see it. I love the idea that Rose is it, but from Rose's perspective, but I won't abide to it, for reasons that include 1)RTD confirmed that's not the case in a recent DWM interview, and 2)I simply never got that impression when I first watched the episode, some years ago. And also included this time is Capaldi's Deep Breath, which wasn't the last time.

With that out of the way, rank and rate your favorite (to least favorite) regeneration stories. Rank away!

I don't think I could give an honest answer to this until after The Power of the Daleks has run its course.

Also, I gave up on The Twin Dilemma after the first episode and I've never seen the Time and the Rani.

My favorite is The Eleventh Hour. Of the ones I've seen, I rank them like this:

"The Eleventh Hour" for the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith)
Spearhead from Space" for the Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee)
"The Enemy Within (The TV Movie)" for the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann)
"Deep Breath" for the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi)
"Castrovalva" for the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison)
"Robot" for the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)
"Twin Dilemma" for the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker)
"The Christmas Invasion" for the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)
"Time and the Rani" for the Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy)

Of these, I only count "Time and the Rani" as bad, and "The Christmas Invasion" as mediocre. I like all of the rest of them (even "The Twin Dilemma"). I still need to see all of Power of the Daleks.

'Rose' probably should be included even if we are not 100 percent sure it is 9's post regeneration story. Since he looks in Jackie's mirror and comments on his face it definitely feels like a post-regeneration story.
