(Sorry if this should have a spoiler tag, as it mentions Coda in passing)
For some reason, probably because of the combination of Borg and time travel in Oblivion's Gate, I started thinking about a borg dinosaur. Couldn't remember where that image came from,and started thinking it had to be from a comic or fanfic, and that it was the sort of thing Peter David (giant borg vessel, remember?) would come up with.
When I finally got a chance to look it up, I had to laugh as it turned out to be from The Collectors! I wasn't even all that surprised, just thought it was funny I was wrong. Yes, a Borg Dinosuar makes perfect sense coming from Christopher's imagination for a DTI novel! I can't believe I forgot it was him, considering how memorable the scene is seven yours later!
Identifying the book led me to another thought - what would the Picard verse DTI make of the events of Coda? I really hope Christopher has some thoughts along that line. :
Has anyone else had a random scene just keep popping up in their thoughts until they had to find out where it came from? And then been surprised by the answer?
