Thanks for posting this, I'm downloading the podcast right now. I knew about Forbidden Planet from the Rocky Horror intro song, but I never got around to watching it.

It's a fun interpretation. It took a bit to get used to at first having been used to the movie for so long. I'll probably take a listen to 'The War of the Worlds' later, after listening to 'Casablanca'.

It's the same story, but with different actors, and being visual, the movie naturally has a very different feel to it. I liked the radio version, but the audio effects could have been more sophisticated to create the background. I also felt some of the scene transitions didn't come across well, and felt like 'how'd we get here?'

That's true, but they managed to squeeze the whole story into an hour. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
