former WWE champion, dead at 54

Legendary wrestler The Ultimate Warrior, who was infamous for his colorful warpaint and arrogant stage swagger, died at the age of 54, just days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Apparently he collapsed outside of a hotel:

Officials tell TMZ ... Warrior collapsed outside an Arizona hotel at 5:50 PM on April 8th ... while walking to his car with his wife.

Warrior was transported to a nearby hospital ... where he was pronounced dead.

He was one of my all-time favorites. I got to see him defend the WWF Championship against Randy Savage at a house show in 1990.

Yes, it was. At the time, it seemed to just be him speaking of a career that was long over. Now I can't help but wonder if he knew deep down that something wasn't right with him, health-wise.
