R.I.P. Richard Lynch

Character actor Richard Lynch (TNG 'Gambit' I & II) has died at his home at age 76.

He played many villains and made the best of his unique looks. Loved his voice as well.

Rest In Peace.

Very memorable character actor indeed, especially from Galactica 1980 and the Chuck Norris movie Invasion USA.

We will really miss you, Richard.

He was badass playing Baran. It's always sad to see someone who made a mark in Trek over the years no longer with us.

He was great in so many roles, sad to see another such great character actor pass on.

I think the first thing I ever saw him in was an episode of Starsky and Hutch in the seventies. As always, he was playing the bad guy. :)

Talented actor who elevated every role I ever saw him in. RIP.

Definitely the consummate bad guy with the deep set eyes high brow ridge, wide mouth, and chisel sharp nose. He was perfect as Baran and I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job with it. I just wish he'd made a few more guest appearances in the Star Trek franchise.

Anyway, 76 is a little on the early side... and he was living alone. He looked rather weathered in his waning years. I hope he was living a happy life. RIP Mr. Lynch.
