While we can see our advancing years in our own mirrors I think it's the gradual and successive loss of those we recognize as part of "our time" that serve to wake us up periodicaly. When we hear the music of our youth in our minds we still see those performers as they were in their prime. It can be something of a shock to see how time has treated them. It's the same with actors.

Only 67? I'm surprised. I would've assumed she was older than my parents who are in their early to mid 70s. I think I assumed she was older because her voice and singing style were always very mature (I mean that in a positive way).
