The video in the OP doesn't work for me, so here's an alternate link with some translation help if anyone else is having the same problem, though it's not like deciphering the meaning of the French text was that hard.

I'm hoping that this was a case of most of the audience not thinking about the answer first and just being influenced by what the guy himself hinted at. If you're possibly going to use the ask the audience option you should keep your speculation to yourself beforehand so as not to skew the results.

I'm just glad this happened in France and not the US this time, or we'd be hearing about how all Americans are idiots or how the entire US education system has failed right about now, just like every time someone does one of those stupid man on the street pop quizzes.
