Quiz: How many recurring Star Trek characters can you name?

Hi; I hope this isn't too spammish, but I just created a quiz at Sporcle, and I wanted to share it with you guys:

The task is to name all the characters who have appeared on Star Trek two or more times. So that includes series regulars and recurring characters. All series and movies included.

It doesn't include characters who only appeared in both parts of a two-parter or all three parts of a three-parter. I also left out a few characters that weren't very clearly identified. There are about 200 on the list, so you have to be a pretty die-hard Star Trek fan to get even half of them in 20 minutes.

Still, it was fun to make. If you feel like a challenge, give it a try!

116, but it rejected Tekeny Ghemor for some reason (2 appearances). My (relative) unfamiliarity with most of the non-DS9 series really bit me in the butt.

Thanks for trying out the quiz! I can see that I missed some characters. Sporcle allows for a maximum of 200 answers, and I've got 199 plus one "bonus" answer, so I can't add any characters without removing some.

My original goal was to be exhaustive, and I thought there would be enough room to fit them all, but I kept thinking of ones not listed on Memory Alpha's "recurring characters" list. Other characters that got cut out of the 200 were

-- DeSalle, Farrell, Kelowitz, DePaul, O'Neil, and Palmer from the original Enterprise
-- Eric, Alexander's classmate who appeared three times in TNG season 7
-- several MACOs on Enterprise
-- Michael Sullivan, Seamus, and the rest of Voyageer's Irish holograms
-- Lt. Gabler, who appeared in four TAS episodes

Kudos to teacake, Nerys Ghemor, and CoveTom for noticing three more characters I missed! I expect there are others.

It is still possible to edit the quiz. I'm wondering what would be the best way to handle this. I could place the cutoff at 3 episodes instead of 2, or I could just say that I had to leave some people out instead of trying to come up with a reason for why they aren't there.

It wouldn't take Tuvok's wife T'Pel, she was in four episodes.

But all in all I got 154. Not bad. I missed Bareil and Spot, and Porthos though. And I can't believe I missed Janice Rand

EDIT: and I missed all of the TAS characters minus the ones who had been in the actual show.

I also tried Leonardo daVinci, but either I couldn't get it spelled exactly the way you wanted, or he wasn't in there, period.

I got 113. Four more left out: Sarina, Lauren, Jack and Patrick from the DS9 eps Statistical Probabilities and Chrysalis. I spent a lot of time trying to spell Sarina's name until I checked the others and saw they weren't there either.

Ok in my defense it took me awhile to actually catch on that they wanted everybody! I am trying to think of obscure people and then I realized I needed to put in people like Kirk and Picard. Spelling was also a consideration as I couldn't get Keylar or Nechaev right(still can"t). Also I didn't watch much Enterprise so i couldn't remember Malcolm or Travis for the life of me. Some of them though I really need to smacked. I didn't remember B'Elanna! I'll take it again later when I can zip through the regulars.

Something doesn't work for me. I typed like 20 names and only 3 were "accepted." I can't believe that there's no Weyoun, Damar or Sarek. I gave up.
