in addition to publishing in tokyo, london, new york etc.......how did pocket books land a deal to publish on Tzenketh??? gotta admit, i'd think that typhon pact books would probably be on the banned list inside the confed borders.

when glancing at rough beasts i saw this was one of the publishers, and when going back and looking at Seize the Fire, there was a location with which i am unfamiliar. dont have the books in front of me right now, but are there any otheres i'm missing.

great easter egg btw, what others are out there that havent been discussed? and if it has already been discussed, i apologize.

I've never looked at that page in-depth before to have noticed such things, but I can tell you that both volumes of The Left Hand of Destiny are listed as published on Qo'noS. Those are the only Trek books I have at the moment that aren't boxed up for a move.

Pretty much every ST book I've seen does have one location from the story on that page.

If Pocket Books would stop opening and closing new offices every single month maybe they would do better financially. ;)

^No, the practice predates Marco, though he certainly ran with it. The earliest works listed on that Memory Beta page are the New Earth miniseries, which listed Belle Terre as the offworld publishing office site. I think John Ordover edited those.

I know that Marco Palmieri enjoyed putting in the off-world publishing locations on the title pages. When I received the galleys for Myriad Universes: Shattered Light and Rough Beasts of Empire, I noted that their title pages lacked a little panache, and so I added Galor IV and Tzenketh. Quite fun, really.

Ohmigod. Would you believe I had no idea this was going on?

(Scurries to bookshelf to check . . . .)

I had assumed it was a Marco thing, and didn't even bother trying to add an extra location in LtP, dammitall...
