Quick Medical Question

So, I'm going to the doctor in a bit and was wondering what I should ask him about my health in regards to when I have a fairly rapid (110-140ish bpm) and strong pulse (my whole body shakes, I had to replace a headboard I had because it would creek whenever my hear beat) as I rest. Anyone have an idea of good questions to come prepped with?

Sounds like you have high blood pressure. Before taking any meds, inquire if dietary changes could help.

Thanks. I don't know if it would be high bp, I've never had high bp when I've gotten it checked with the exception of one time when I was sick.

A good one to ask is "Is it serious"?

To me, it may well need a few tests including blood pressure and an EKG at first, just to see if it is anything treatable or trivial.

Ask if there's anything that can be done in the meantime, and they may well recommend a few lifestyle changes or so. Mention your job in particular - always a good thing to mention.

Beyond that, well, I'm not sure. At that point, you'll have to play things by ear. Or, alternatively, tell us how it went. :)

To check for HBP, you have to be tested quite a few times to make sure, because sometimes your BP can normalise, and then shoot up again later.

The palpitations (Feeling your heart beat pound), and the high BPM could also have to do with any number of thyroid or adrenal disorders, as well as panic attacks.

I would go to a cardiologist. The best thing that could happen is if you have an attack while you're there so they can hook you up to an EKG and see it while it's happening.

I had the exact same attacks at times and they turned out to be related to HBP, and Anxiety Disorder (Causing panic attacks).

Extra Strength Oil Of Oregano.

It cures everything and helps you maintain a healthy body.

My budgie has had terrible shits for a few weeks, proper bright green and wet so I started to drop some Extra Strength Oil Of Oregano into his water bottle and he's started to get better within just a couple of days.
He squarked like a little bitch whenever he took a drink but it was worth it to make him better.

Agreed. Please come back and let us know what the results are.

UPDATE: I don't have high blood pressure, but I did have elevated pressure compared to my normal today (120/80). My doctor believes it is extremely likely to be hyperthyroidism because of the additional symptoms of anxiety, tremors, vomiting, excessive sweating, mood swings, and the aforementioned tachycardia and bounding pulse. I'm having a blood test tomorrow to confirm.

Good to know. An old girlfriend of mine had some type of thyroid issue where she had to take a pill every 12 hours. The meds were cheap, and if you missed the 12-hour window it was no big deal. Just take the med when you remembered and then again at the regularly scheduled time.
