In at least one version of the opening title sequence of Enterprise the first scene is a view of Earth seen from space. There is a body of water surrounded by land.
Can anyone identifiy this body of water? I kind of thought that it was shaped like the Caspian Sea, but if so I can't figure out what direction the view is.
Edit: This site: https://www.wrolf.net/blog/star-trek-enterprise-intro/ says that the first shot, while the words "It's been a long road" are sung, is:
And according to the maps, looking east along Lake Ontario there is a northward and leftward extension of the lake at the east or far end, which is similar to what the Caspian Sea has on its northern end. But the extension at the north of the Caspian Sea extends to the east, and thus would appear to go to the right as seen from the other end of the sea .
Thus Lake Ontario seems like a better fit for the image than the more famous Caspian Sea.
