question about star trek next generation blu ray model

Hi I just have a quick question. I was wondering why CBS is using the 4 foot model not the 6 foot model. I was wondering because I heard that the 6 foot model has more detail then the 4 foot model so did the 6 foot model get destroyed or is there some other reason for not using the 6 foot model?

They are using what was shot originally.

Yeah, the only reason they're using the 4 foot model is because that's the model that was used in the original shots (and CBS-D are using the original shots -- not a reshoot).
