Question about a collector's piece

Hey everyone,

I recently came across a 5 piece collector's set that I have in my possession.

It's the 5 original characters on a model of the Starship Enterprise Deck. It was apparently made by Playmates in 1993 - Limited edition of 100,000 or so I believe.

It's obviously unopened - the original price sticker is still on it - $50 at the time of purchase.

Just curious if anyone knows how much this is worth today?

Try to hang on to it. You'll get virtually nothing for it at an auction site today. Give it another year or so, in case Star Trek XI revitalizes the franchise. Look at the way prices have skyrocketed on Doctor Who toys, compared to the 90's while the series languished in obscurity.

I'm beginning to regret giving my TOS figures away already.

Was it just five pieces? I have one of these from the original series and it as all 7 main characters. Five on the back row, two in the front row.
