"Pulse" -- It's Sweeping the Nation!

Okay, it's not really sweeping the nation. But it's a good thread title. :)

Over the past weekend, I was involved in a 72-hour film competition where entrants have 3 days to write, shoot, edit and screen a 10-minute short film. Two friends and I spearheaded a team, along with about 5 other crew members.

This is the result:

It's not in any way Trek related, but I post it here just to hear what folks think of it. Obviously, we had to rush it, so there are some technical aspects that I'd have like to have been able to spend a little more time on. But, otherwise, I'm very proud of it.

By the way, it won first place in the contest. :)

Congrats! I've done the 48 Hour Film Project on five occasions, so I know how tough it is to make anything of any quality in such a short time!

I watched the film, but I have to admit I don't get the ending.

48 hours? Wow, that sounds like quite a challenge, especially knowing how daunting a task it was to do this film in 72 hours. I'd be interested in honest feedback on our efforts. No one's going to hurt my feelings. This was our first attempt, and it was done in a hurry, so I know there are some technical aspects in particular we could have done better. A glaring one for me is the nighttime lighting. But I'd like to see what others think.

Here's the last 48 HFP film I submitted. This version isn't exactly the one turned in, but was tweaked after the contest to do color correction and some sound balancing that wasn't possible within the time limit. We spent about 13 hours at the location. We won for Best Costumes, Best Sound Design, and tied for Runner-Up for Best Film.
