PS3 has failed me

I never thought it would happen, but I finally found something PS3 can't do, and frankly, it seems absurd that it can't do it.

I tried to pair my bluetooth headphones to my PS3 so I could watch movies and play games without disturbing my sleeping roommate. But it turns out that PS3 does not support bluetooth audio. You can hook up a headset for live chat, but you can't listen to the game or movie content.

I find this ridiculous. I don't understand why PS3 would support bluetooth technology but not support audio.

Well, I thought I would be able to save Wii games on my USB....but the Wii doesn't support that function yet....

So, yeah...some of these consoles have needless components on them for the time being.

I mean, the PS3 controller uses bluetooth technology, and you can buy other bluetooth devices to use. It just doesn't support audio, which blows my mind. Don't most people use bluetooth technology for its audio capabilities?

At present you need a specific pair of headphones to mix game audio and chat into the same mix, turtle beach do headsets for this like the Ear force PX21, but game sound via the USB ports is not yet supported, and i have no idea if it will be in the future.

I know bluetooth supports chat but seeing a most bluetooth head sets are in one ear that might explain why there is no game audio supported through it....but that's just a guess on my part.
