Pros and Cons of Destiny Omni and Single Books

I've not seen this tackled in a specific topic, and if it is, please feel free to delete this post, but I'm curious as to whether there are substantial differences between the Omnibus version and the single-issued books?

I already own the single-issued novels, but have considered getting the omni to conserve self-space. If it's just a repackaging I'll not do it. I can gift the books to a friend who wants to get into Trek books but doesn't want to do the expansive reading list (Chore!? ) I've set for myself.

Any advice will be appreciated!

We had a thread about the Destiny omnibus a while ago that covered this same question, with Mr. Mack chiming in himself: http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=159250

I also promised there that if the omnibus does get released as an e-book (no indications so far, sadly), I would buy both and generate a list of the differences between them.
