Proof of First Contact Deleted Holosuite Scene

The initial view of the door when Picard spots it says "Holosuite", but when the Borg go through the door it says "Holodeck". The control panel says "Holodeck Programming".

Its possible the Holosuite was a small room where Picard loaded up the program in the main Holodeck. Its also possible that during busy times the main Holodeck could be divided up into smaller Holosuites, and the Borg just went in the main door. Why did they do that? I have no idea. I dunno. The real reason is: they screwed up.

Not only that the door is completely different!

My theory is Picard is in the corridor so that's the entry-door to the holosuite, a suite of holodecks. The shot of the Borg is them entering the paticual room Picard and Lily are in.

The scene with Picard and Lily by the computer panel is in a rotunda with several doors in it to enter the desired holosuite.

The doors look the same to me, just the perspective of the first one makes the vertical 'lines' look closer together.

The style of labelling is different on the doors though, which makes me think that one of the shots was filmed much later as a pickup.

Thats what I meant, the signage on the doors is very different. But it can easily enough be ratonalized.

^Who is that in the photo ?

Rick Berman. Interestingly enough he wasnt even supposed to be there, he got hammered and just decided to walk onto the set.

Funny, but no. :p

Surprising though that more talk has been about the screwy door labels than the photo in question here... :wtf:

I would love it if there were deleted scenes/footage unearthed somewhere! The holosuite scene seems ripe for heavy editing.

Maybe it was just on-set and not a scene :vulcan:

I thought that possible, but look at the expressions of all three - usually any such photos that surface have the actors smiling, et cetera. Likewise, that fellow is in costume - yet we didn't see him in the film. And from his appearance and hold on Lily, and her expression... it's logical to presume it's from a filmed but deleted scene. Indeed, I have a vague recollection of such a scene being mentioned; of someone asking Lily to dance. It was cut though because it had nothing to do with the plot.

Hmm... It seems kinda strange that Paramount wouldn't talk about it. I say there's a Section 31 conspiracy!
