Congratulations! Nice to see a story that fits so well into that era.

BTW: Bill probably already knows this trick from his day job, but if a future episode requires a more seamless integration of larger CG objects into live action footage you might want to take a closer look at http://www.andrewklein.net/bh/texturingweek10.html or http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Alias/...4-Render644/0649-Understa649/0652-Environm652
Basically, using a modern HDR-capable digital camera and a color-free reflective gazing ball from the garden department at Home Depot (or any other hardware store) you could stitch together a 360° panorama of the location that can later be used to recreate its lighting and general reflections in a 3D application. Look at the image of the spheres on that first link and you'll see the difference.

Getting a project completed and released is on hell of an accomplishment! Congratulations to all involved for gettin' 'er dun!

Fan films are never 'late.' They are always welcome gifts. And when, like this one, they are good, they are delightful gifts.

Have to give you guys credit.. By choosing to go the vignette route you've really given yourself the opportunity to flesh out your characters.
Works much better I think than trying to jump in and pump out a whole season of feature length episodes straight from the get go.

Thanks! That's pretty much our thoughts as well. Vignettes allow a lot more flexibility and character studies.

The next one, "The Engineer's New Clothes," is a comedy that wouldn't be suitable as a full length episode. It's just a funny scene and a very silly ending.

The one after that is another trip to the Twilight Zone of Trek.
