I just came across this fan film in the works. The story focuses on a Federation agent called Livia, the grand-daughter of Kirk. Progeny is a crime fighting series set on the planet Magna Roma (TOS: “Bread and Circuses”). In the first episode Livia goes up against a drug and trafficking ring. It will star Gates McFadden, Rick Worthy, Stephen Manley (young Spock in Star Trek III), Carlos Carrasco, Francine York and Anne Marie Howard. More cast still to be announced. I really like the idea of a crime fighting fan film set within the Star Trek universe. What do you think? Does a Star Trek fan series that is not set on a starship appeal to you?
Sounds interesting. I personally think there are a lot of opportunities for interesting stories in the Trek verse beyond what we are used to seeing. Is there a site to find out more?
It is a rich universe with a lot (no pun intended) space to fill, this could be a really nice departure from the current glut of fan films.

Lately, I have noticed a few fan-film trailers using scenes and lines recorded for the original series in their trailers. This is a little bit troubling. These trailers risk being pulled because they use materials taken from the original series. CBS owns those materials.
Well now I'm confused. The website now says that Yvonne Ellison will be played by Anne Marie Howard, but Howard's IMDB says she plays Caliea Ativus, and still lists McFadden as Ellison.
