Problem with iTunes

Whenever I try to launch iTunes on my Mac it crashes. The main exception type is:

EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)

It was working perfectly last week. Last software update was possibly on Thursday of last week; was there an iTunes update out then?

Macbook Pro 2011 Early model 15" 2.0GHz
Snow Leopard 10.6.8
iTunes 10.6.3 (also tried 10.6.1, same result).

Any help appreciated.
 
Not sure what I could suggest, but have you tried googling for this problem? I had an issue with one of my two USB ports on my Macbook failing for no apparent reason, and apparently this is a common problem on a lot of units. And it's always a specific port, not the second one.
 
Thanks guys. I googled and tried about six different combinations of removing various parts of iTunes to try and solve it.

Upgraded to Lion (was considering it anyway).

Problem gone. :)
