Problem Importing CD's to ITunes

Do you guys ever have probs importing CD's to ITunes? My #1 problem is that ITunes will take one album and will import it as multiple albums. This drives me nuts especially when I sync my ITunes with my Ipod. If I try to select to play a specific album on my Ipod it will only play a couple songs. Look below for an example of a CD (Fiddler on the Roof) that I just imported from a CD to ITunes:

Has this ever happened to anyone? Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this???

I don't use iTunes to rip CDs to my computer. I use a different MP3 encoder, then I import the created folder my iTunes library.

Wish I could help, but it's for reasons like this that I don't use iTunes for this.

Looking through, this has happened to a couple of my albums (No idea why, when my 30+ other albums imported the same way are fine, the two affected are by the same artist though).

Just select all of them, delete the album information on all of them, and then re-add it. I just tested it and it worked for me.

I use the first view though, personally.

It's probably because the tracks are by different artists. If you fill in the "album artist" field on each track to be the same, they should all show up as one album.

I would never rip a CD with iTunes. Use Exact Audio Copy w/ LAME. They you can match everything up with a tag editor and drag it over to iTunes.

I've never had that happen, but it'd be easy to fix.

Just select all the tracks and then right-click them and 'get info.' Put a check next to 'Album' and give it a name. They should all be linked up properly.

May I throw in a related iTunes question, please?

I have no trouble importing entire albums, but I can't import individual tracks. Seems to me, there used to be a simple way to do that. Did they change how to do that, or isn't there a way anymore (other than importing the entire album and then deleting the tracks I don't want, which is ridiculously time-consuming)?

Thanks.

Go to the cd-view, right-click on the track you want to import, there should be a import track/convert track to MP3 option...
