Probe Question

It's a freebie, guys. Consider it an infomercial for my future work.

Margeret Wander Bonanno? Of Strangers In The Sky fame?!? I loved that book; and your version of events is far superior to the dreaded "canon"! Thank you for writing it!!

*slaps forehead* Of course: Garamet Jen-Saunor! Should have realised sooner... :o

And now, if you'll excuse me ladies and gentlebeings, I need to go and have my geekasm in private. :alienblush:

It's not that we would not pay, it's that Music of the Spheres is a give away. Margret is giving this to us for free. And it is a very nice gift too. If it had been published, I would have gladly paid for it.

^You'r welcome. :D

Glad I could be of assistance. ;)

I just dl'd the .lit and will load it up on my PDA to read.

I must say though that Strangers from the Sky is still one of my all time favourite Trek novels and I also enjoyed Catalyst of Sorrows very much.

Thank you Margaret and JWolf for this :)

You are very welcome garamet and DanTheGrey. I'm happy to help out. Sorry the LIT version took so long. But it's done. Are there any other formats we need?

Started looking at it, I'll probably have more time this weekend to read on it some. Enjoy your work, Margaret. Particularly the recent "Burning Dreams," I've wanted to see a good Captain Pike book for a long time and thankfully you delivered. And "Catalyst of Sorrows" was a good read too!

The Pocket novel PROBE is a perfectly good storytelling in the Trek universe, and the final author and I have developed a solid and lasting friendship out of it.

More good than bad has come out of this little bit of history. Ultimately, I've got no complaints. ;)

Curious: Margaret did you end up reading Probe after what happened?

Sure. That's how I know 7% of my text survived. ;)

Also, Gene DeWeese and I had, as I mentioned, cultivated a friendship out of the situation, and I wanted to see how he'd managed to turn what was left from the numerous previous rewrites into something that not only matched the jacket copy (remember, the dust jackets were printed long before the manuscript was finished), but turned out to be a credible, entertaining read.

Quite an accomplishment on his part.

I'll also autograph the book, if someone asks...but only on the page with the Praetor's funeral. That prompts some interesting questions from readers who haven't heard the story behind the book, as I'm sure you can imagine.

I'll have to give the published Probe another read to see if I am misremembering it. It's been ages since I read it.
