Probe Question

So, I was listening to a Peter David interview on a podcast from Spidermancrawlspace.com (Which I highly recommend) and he said something to the effect of "If you want to see a Star Trek writer or editor visibly shudder, mention Probe"

So, what was the problem with Probe? I'm guessing by his tone that it was just some mass clusterfuck or something...

If you ask her nicely, she will email you a copy of the "Probe" manuscript that SHE originally wrote. It's called "Music of the Spheres."

Are you sure he was talking about a book? With Marco and John in charge of things, "probe" has a whole new meaning.

Actually, it's right up on her website for free. I downloaded it awhile ago, and totally forgot I had it till I was looking through my computer documents for a homework assignment yesterday

Damn, I still haven't read Music of the Spheres and it's been sitting on my hard drive for five odd years now.

Well according to Margret's site, it will be available in EBook form soon.
It is available. I've reformatted it into a new RTF, PDF, PRC (Mobipocket format), and LRF (for the Sony Reader). I think on the site you have to email her.

I've corrected a few more things since I sent those in. I'm not yet done reading it. So there might be some more fixes later on. But it's a lot nicer to read then the original PDF/LIT. I do forget if I sent her a new LIT. But I can make one using the RTF from Word if need be.

You can download the LRF at http://www.mobileread.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5837&d=1190818313

The PRC at http://www.mobileread.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5836&d=1190818213

It actually doesn't look like it has been updated any time recently. But I'm close to finishing the book so I'll post updated copies over on MobileRead when I am done. And I'll send in updated copies as well to Margaret. If anyone wants the most updated copies I have to be reposted over at MobileRead, just say so.

Unfortunately my site doesn't allow me to download files that big. But anyone who emails me (or takes advantage of JWolf's kind offer) will get a copy.

Later this week, I'll send you the new copies. I've been finding some little things here and there that I've been correcting and it should be good to go once I finish reading sometime this week.
