OK, I have a Dell XPS 420 running Vista-32 bit with a Dell 968 AIO printer, and I keep getting this pop-up window saying "The printer pipeline filter is closing" when I try to print stuff. If I'm lucky I can get one copy of whatever I am trying to print printed, but after that it does this and won't print anymore. And any attempt at printing anything through IE7 and Adobe Reader usually won't print at all.
I did a Google search about this and it seems like it may have to do with the communication between the computer and the printer. Vista combatibility problems I believe. One of the supposed solutions is to download and install a firmware update and possibly a .Net 3.0 update for Windows itself.
But some folks have said that you have to do this with fresh uninstalls and installs of the printer drivers.
