Primeval spin off.

Yep, the usual thing, younger, sexier spin off. Hopefully it will be better than that usually turns out.

This shouldn't affect Sanctuary's renewal chances, if there is a S5, it'll only be 10 or 13 episodes, and the British Primeval was only 6-10 episodes a series, so if Canadian spinoff sticks to British Primeval Format, that's only 16-23 episodes a year for both shows.

Now, of course, Sanctuary may not continue anyways, but, this shouldn't affect it's cancellation one way or another

A fractured timeline where the Nazis use dinosaurs to carry weapons platforms in WWII?

(Yes, I do remember Dinoriders. but I'm more thinking of the house sized swastikas branded onto their asses to convey/confirm ownership for the reich of these animals.)

I'm looking forward to it, but, this is a concern, there was barely anyone on the UK version that was much over 30, which stretched credibility to the limit, how can they go even younger, without making it really, really unbelievable?

Sexy Junior High kids... :cardie:

I liked the first couple of series, however many were released in the first DVD set North Americans got. It wasn't brilliant but the cast was entertaining and it had a fun premise. Then the good parts of the cast left and it somehow got a lot less fun in a hurry. I'd be happy if someone, somewhere managed something decent with the concept. Because the episode with the giant Spinosaur was about the only good one the original series has produced since the first male lead checked out.

Cast and directors announced in SPACE's recent press release:

The cast features a bevy of established genre heavyweights such as Niall Matter (EUREKA, 90210, MELROSE PLACE) as the enterprising inventor and visionary hero Evan Cross, and Sara Canning (SUPERNATURAL, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, SMALLVILLE) as Dylan Weir, predator attack expert and specialist in animal behavior. PRIMEVAL: NEW WORLD will also star Miranda Frigon (HEARTLAND) as Ange Finch, Geoff Gustafson (Hot Tub Time Machine) as Ken Leeds and Danny Rahim (EAST ENDERS) as Mac Rendell and guest starring Andrew-Lee Potts (PRIMEVAL) as Connor from the original series. Sci-fi queen Amanda Tapping (SANCTUARY), Andy Mikita (STARGATE UNIVERSE), Martin Wood (SANCTUARY) and Mike Rohl (SMALLVILLE) are all set to direct.

For those Eureka fans who don't recognize the name, Niall Matter played Zane.

seems a shame this is not going to be on ITV 1, as it was first announced it was going to be. I guess ITV are totally done with the show.

Will be nice to have Connor around, shame it does not also include Abby.
