Prime Spock - source of information?

I’m just thinking, if Starfleet knows Prime Spock is from the future, Starfleet and Section 31 will want to know about possible future threats to the Federation. Prime Spock would be a treasure trove with his knowledge of the Doomsday Machine, V’ger, the whale probe, and in the long term, the Borg and Dominion. Then there’s minor threats like Khan and his augments who are still on the sleeper ship that’s still out there, or even the Klingon moon of Praxis explosion that could still happen several decades after Trek XI since I doubt the Klingons are going to stop overmining their moon.

That, I believe, is the beautiful potential of this movie. Any of that, or none of it, could happen. We have to wait and see.

Would Starfleet even find out? Because Kirk thinks the universe will implode if he lets the information out and Spock isn't likely to tell anyone. Now the two of them going to him for advice is another story.

Spocks not stupid, he'll go on and help found a colony - but he knows he can't solve all of federations problems - foresight won't save them just make newer harder problems.

They must know something about him, considerin' Spock Prime was one of two left on Delta Vega (the other bein' Scotty's new sidekick) in the middle of the movie, and by the end of it, he was in San Francisco, boardin' a shuttle outbound for the new Vulcan colony world.

Kirk, Scotty and Young Spock all know about Spock Prime, and the remainin' Vulcan leadership will know about him, as well.

But, it may well be likely that Spock Prime will keep his mouth shut about most future events, since the timeline has been altered. Some things are inevitable, but by warnin' about 'em in advance, he could alter the outcomes, make the new, younger crew to arrogant and then, when they slip up, thinkin' they are bound to win, it would really send the Enterprise up shit creek without a paddle.

I think that Prime Spock taking over the galaxy would be a great premise for a sequel. He could use ablative armor and transphasic torpedoes to his advantage.

I think the former more than the latter, especially after reading "Countdown".

Perhaps Spock Prime, after ensuring that Kirk and Spock find their way harmoniously to the bridge of the Enterprise will simply settle into his work on the Vulcan colony and "have faith that the universe will unfold as it should."
