May 7 Tickets Will Be Pre-Sold by AMC Theatres, National Amusements, Pacific/ArcLight, Regal & other theatre circuits


HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 16, 2009) – Starting Friday, April 17, many of the nation’s top theater chains will start offering early show tickets for Bad Robot’s production of J.J. Abrams' “Star Trek,” presented by Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment. The tickets are for May 7 evening performances of the film, which debuts worldwide on May 8, 2009. Participating chains include AMC Theatres, National Amusements, Pacific/ArcLight and the Regal Entertainment Group, among others. Additional theatre chains will offer advance tickets in the coming week.

i got mine yesterday. as a side note i was told by the girl at the box office that ticket pre sales for this film were phenominal and that i'd better get to the theatre at least an hour early. she also said that pre sale's for wolverine weren't very good. so maybe trek will do better at the box office than that film.btw, i saw wolverine! it wasn't even as good as the last x men movie.

i got mine yesterday. as a side note i was told by the girl at the box office that ticket pre sales for this film were phenominal and that i'd better get to the theatre at least an hour early. she also said that pre sale's for wolverine weren't very good. so maybe trek will do better at the box office than that film.btw, i saw wolverine! it wasn't even as good as the last x men movie.

Not to take a dump on the Wolverine movie but in reference to that other thread, I don't think they're taking Trek fan enthusiasm into consideration with their predictions.

And this movie I will be seeing twice. In a regular theater on Thursaday and in an IMAX on Saturday so Wolverine. We know Trek fans go to see Trek films multiple times if they are good. Who's going to see Wolverine multiple times (especially considering how bad the reviews have been).

Agreed, and hence that's where the terrible review are coming from. I was really looking forward to it and now I'll just wait for the Blu Ray.

Bought my tickets today - IMAX on the 7th at 7pm EST and regular on Saturday the 9th for a matinee.

I find it kinda strange that folks are seriously pre-judging the Wolverine movie based on a partially completed and pirated copy...

(...though after going through all the rig-a-ma-roll in this forum for the last three years, I probably shouldn't...)

I only have a passing interest in the X-Men stuff, but to me the Trailers for this movie make it at least seem interesting enough that I want to go see it.

I liked the first three enough, that I bought all of them on DVD and have watched them each several times.

I pre-purchased my ticket for Thursday the 7th, the 7PM show at the local BowTie Theater... yesterday, also...

I've never had any interest in Wolverine, so all the hubbub about the leak of the unfinished version, etc has been at most a source of mild curiosity for me. It looks like that movie will probably open very well regardless.

I've seen the leaked cut and it's bad. Really really bad. Like Batman & Robin bad.

I expect it open pretty darn well regardless because regular people don't read about such things but it will drop off very quickly due to terrible word of mouth.
