Preview of character customization in Star Trek Online

Portions of the Non-disclosure agreement have been lifted for media outlets involved in the Star Trek Online beta, which means a bunch of new details are now coming out about the game. I thought you all might be interested in this one especially:

It lists out a bunch of the customization options, including the create your own alien stuff. I can just see it now... Hot Pink Andorians!

And for those still waiting to get into the beta, that same site is giving away 50 beta keys on Jan 4th. (link)

I'm guessing that even with the "Unknown" character creation option... Non-Humanoid species like Nasat, Pahkwa-thanh, Tholians, Species 8472, Founders/Changelings, etc. will not be playable at launch...

Why are Bolians a starting race, but Tellarites not?
