Tricky Champion's league ties next week make this an even harder game to pick. Players will certainly be rested for both sides, but who?
Three games, eight days, two pieces of silverware in the balance with two must win games, and travel for United. United ahead by essentially 4 points (three points and goals). I wouldn't be surprised to see reconfigured line ups with a couple, but not a great number, of surprises. Although I think (would hope) Grant was resting Anelka for this game; otherwise why leave him off for so long on Tuesday?

It looks like Man Utd could play the same formation as against Barcelona but with Giggs in for Park and Vidic back at centre back.
Personally if I was fergie I would go with the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation that has Ronaldo, Rooney and Giggs swapping the 3 postions of 2 wingers and 1 attacker all the time to confuse the opposition. Also then I would have the 3 midfield centre of Carrick, Hargreaves and Scholes.
