This isn't for me directly. For a co-worker.

A co-worker's 4-month-old son died yesterday afternoon due to SIDS. Obviously he and his family are devastated.

My thoughts and prayers have been with them.

I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through, his wife is a very nice, very caring and very lovely young woman. I just cannot even begin to grasp what they are feeling.

To have your kid "just die" due to no apparent cause or reason, through no fault or anything would just have to be devastating.

It is always distressing when someone loses a child. I'm sure we all share in their grief, no matter how distant we might be from the family in question; I know I do. It was very thoughtful of you to post this, Screecher. I hope the parents are getting the support they need.
