The power source really says sci Fi era..
The magical crystal formula, is very .. star trek. In fact, I don't even know the power source in most sci Fi, not too many had an engineering room, which has all but disappeared from the current format, replaced in voyager with optics?
You could argue, we don't think much of nuclear, it's rarely considered the future..
Even less in radio, infrared... Turn on the radio waves . Full signal!!?
I still like the idea of bubble technology...
Instead of incredible amount of energy to reshape ionization itself . We make equivalent of magnetic bubble to the existing ion state assumed the fabric of universe vs outside..
The problem is how vague the ionization is now .. and how slow magnets are ..
