Post Voyager Delta Quadrant

I was thinking during all the years travels the ship did there. What impact did ship and crew have there, did they have any long term effects on the races they met?

What was the Delta Quadrant like after Voyager got home?

Any ideas folks?

They had a pretty lasting impact because they stopped Species 8472's war with the Borg. Presumably they may have been directly the cause for Arcturus' race being eliminated.

They woke the Vaadwaur back up after several centuries.

If you go by what's implied in Endgame and (noncanonly) in the recent novels Voyager dealt the Borg Collective a near fatal blow.

I think Voyager majorly stuffed up the DQ, actually.

They unleashed the Vaadwaur, nice job.

They defeated 8472, letting the Borg run amok.

They probably did more harm than good!

My one objection to the Destiny trilogy was that Voyager took such a minor role in ending the Borg threat. I haven't read Full Circle yet though, which I hear covers the Destiny events in more detail from Captain Chakotay's perspective.

Voyager, for the most part, played second fiddle to the Enterprise and Aventine. It led the Federation Forces in the Azure Nebula once the Enterprise and Aventine were away. It was the ship that was in command of the fleet as it engaged the first Borg fleet. It also suggested that Chakotay felt that Voyager should be the rightful leader of the Federation forces against the Borg because they had the most experience.

Because of his failure, and Admiral Janeway's death, Chakotay resigned his commission from Starfleet. The Voyager is now under command of Captain Eden and is returning to the Delta Quadrant via Slipstream with a fleet of several ships to determine the status of the Borg.

Hmm... if the options were "the entire galaxy destroyed by Species 8472" or "letting the Borg run", I'd say Janeway did the galaxy a huge favor.
