Possibly the greatest a/v invention of the last 15 years

Closing, as this crosses the line to posting a way to actually download torrent content, and there's no indication I can find there that this is unit is limited to legal torrents only.

Sorry, RAMA.

It's been determined that I was a little quick to act in pulling the link. I'm returning it, reopening the thread, and I extend my apologies to RAMA.

Looks similar to Apple TV. Wonder if Steve Jobs and friends will turn to the courts regarding the design. He does tend to be overprotective of his product line.

It seems that there's more than enough prior art. TiVo, DVRs, MythTV, the list goes on.

On the other hand, Steve Jobs and friends infamously tried to claim copyright on the Mac interface in the 1980s, so who knows.

(I will not use BitTorrent under any circumstances.)

I'm curious, why not? Aside from it's nefarious uses (eg for people like me to watch US shows within hours of them airing), it does have legitimate legal uses (a lot of Linux Distro's are available via torrent for example). There's nothing wrong with Torrent technology as such, it's just what you download with it that may be an issue.

Whatever I need, I can buy either from iTunes Store or places like Amazon or Best Buy. Even if there are legal downloads you can get from torrent, I doubt I would have any use for them (for example, I don't need Linux - I already have OS X).

And I would prefer not to get mixed up with torrent. I do have a certain amount of fear of the RIAA, of course (even though I have never illegally downloaded anything in my life). And beyond that, I simply don't know how to *use* torrent.
