Pocket's restructring and new editors.

But still nothing on who said editor(s) will be.

True, but before I thought it was just a case of "More layoffs, now Margaret's gone too." Now I know it's a case of restructuring the entire company, and (as someone else pointed out), once they figure out who's in charge higher up, they'll work their way down to who's in charge of the Trek books eventually.

I'm still concerned for the future of the line, but if the current approach is working, then hopefully whoever takes over will not to try to fix what isn't broken.

"The other imprints in Pocket -- Downtown Press, Karen Hunter Publishing, MTV Books, Star Trek, Threshold Edition, and WWE -- are unaffected by the move and will continued to be overseen by [Louise] Burke and [Antony] Ziccardi."

So doesn't that lead us to believe that Ed and Jennifer will continue on as normal?

The average reader at B&N or Airport Books isn't going to care if the book with the cool-looking cover is from Pocket or Gallery or Scribner's or whatever.

You'd be surprised how many books get a second look from me based solely on the Baen label, actually.

Me too, but it's usually because I can't believe how awful the cover art is.

(Their focus is generally on stuff I'm not interested in, though, so I don't know if I've bought as many as two dozen books published by them in the decades they've been around.)
